ATTENTION OKLAHOMANS (AND ABROAD),
The assistance to Moore is outstanding. Seriously. I’ve never seen a community give so much in a time of need such as this.
HOWEVER, there are numerous towns that have also been affected by the tornadoes this past week.
Shawnee, Carney, Prague, Meeker and Wellston have received little to no attention since May 20th. Houses have been destroyed and there are numerous displaced Oklahomans from these towns.
As we continue to assist Moore in their time of need, we NEED to pay attention to the other towns affected. They’re all Oklahomans, we’re all family, and they need volunteers, food, water, and anything you can give.
Update:
Given the overwhelming response in Moore, tonight’s mission is postponed until maybe Friday. Our Area of Responsibility is shrinking and clean up is going better than expected.
Shout out to the firefighters, police, State Troopers, EMS, urban S&R teams, and National Guardsmen (Army and Air) for their work out there.
